- This brochure provides a more comprehensive cross section of the wide ranging products contained within the S+B standard Lab Engineering portfolio.

Ecoline

- A modern low energy, high performance fume cupboard. Designed to give increased internal operating space within the same external footprint as conventional fume cupboards. Low first cost with minimal ongoing maintenance requirements. Shows excellent containment when tested to BS14175 at face velocities as low as 0.3m/sec, giving 40% energy saving without compromise to operator safety compared to traditional units.

Independently tested to BS1417, test certificates available on request.

Although the following brochures depict products designed specifically for schools applications, many of these products are also used in non school environments. Viewing these products often inspires many of our non school customers in the development of their own designs and specifications.

S+B Xenium

- a unique Service Tower and Table system for Science. Xenium provides all the advantages of conventional designs in facilitating services to the central areas of the lab and allowing re configuration of the classroom layout by moving the tables around to suite differing needs at different times.
The added advantage is that tables can be quickly, easily and safely be secured to each other and to towers when boiling liquids and naked flames are in use.

S+B Saturn-Mercury

- Creates an environment which stimulates students interest in Science. Embracing the flexible teaching principles encouraged through Project Faraday. Though a fixed furniture system, the space efficiency and size of the shapes allows students to work in collaborative groups or by moving round to one side to comfortably face forward. This combined with safe, easy access to all services in the central areas makes this a highly flexible system in use as distinct from in concept.

S+B Foodtech 1

- S+B has re defined the Food Technology environment and brought it firmly into the 21st century with the introduction of Foodtech.

This innovative modular system combines the benefits of advanced materials such as Corian with hi-tech ergonomic design to create an attractive range of high quality units to satisfy every Food Technology discipline.

S+B Wing

- a serviced fixed benching system for Science. The Wing System provides a more conventional and formal room layout with all students facing forward for most of the class time.

The island benches can be sized to allow group work when required with some students working opposite each other from both sides of the workstation assembly.

Design Technology

- multi use furniture for the contemporary Design Technology environment. The range includes different sized workstations for Preparation, Design, Planning, Realisation and Evaluation.

The product line is aimed to develop and understanding of the relationship between design, development and manufacture of products using resistant materials.

Athena

- an exciting new range of cross curricula general classroom furniture. Attractive, hardwearing, ergonomically designed workstations, desks, exam tables, group and planning tables.

All built to withstand the daily rigours of the classroom environment and at the same time help create an interesting and modern learning environment.

Contrary to perception, the Octopod is highly space efficient and can more readily accommodate up to 32 students in smaller rooms than would be the case with traditional bench rows.

Octopods can be grouped and arranged in different ways to suit student numbers, teacher preferred address position(s), room size and shape.
