Consultancy

Our educational interior advisors provide a free, no obligation initial consultancy and can provide information about our range of services which includes design, planning and costing for smaller refurbishments and larger scale multi room projects. Our consultants can work in partnership with the project team and your appointed architect, main contractor and professional project and costing management consultancy for new construction schemes.

Design

S+B has been designing educational interiors for over 40 years. We have a thorough understanding of all curriculum needs, traditional and contemporary pedagogy, health and safety regulations and recommendations.

The architect very often wants to see an exiting and individually styled innovative building which delivers the change objective as seen through the designer's eye. The teacher wants a safe, practical environment which properly reflects the curriculum, teaching and learning requirements.

Manufacture

We are not just educational interior designers! What makes us unique is we also manufacture and install an extensive range of cross curricula loose modular and fitted furniture with services for the technical subject areas. Our manufacturing facilities in Manchester allow us to provide furniture, tailored exclusively to the individual clients specification in terms of materials used, spaces to be populated and budgets worked to.

Installation

All our operatives are fully CRB checked, have CSCS safety certification and mechanical and electrical service installations are carried out by Gas Safe and NICEIC qualified engineers. Our teams work to rigidly applied standards in regard to noise, disruption and cleanliness appropriate to the school environment.

Project Management

An S+B turnkey package provides one, some or all of the following: initial consultancy, design and planning, strip out of existing furniture, plus all redundant/obsolete and unsafe mechanical and electrical services, new floor covering, blinds, white boards and pin boards, new ceiling, lighting and of course state of the art educational furniture.
