S+B UK are thrilled to announce our role in Siemens Healthineers‘ groundbreaking project as we’ve been awarded the lab furniture contract for their new healthcare centre of excellence in Llanberis, Wales.
Siemens Healthineers Llanberis is renowned as the exclusive manufacturer of IMMULITE reagents, vital for IMMULITE blood analysers used in diagnosing and treating patients. These reagents are indispensable for laboratories and clinics in over 50 countries worldwide, covering over 100 disease states and enabling 570 allergy tests.
The state-of-the-art facility is part of the Welsh Government’s investment strategy to boost the economy and create job opportunities. It is expected to secure and generate 500 jobs in the region, reinforcing Siemens Healthineers’ pivotal role in North Wales.
S+B are collaborating closely with the main contractor, Wayne Construction, and consultants from DPS GROUP on this project to provide comprehensive laboratory furniture solutions. This includes our Exemplaire C frame and Pedestal systems, fitted benching, mobile storage, spine shelving, service risers, and safety stations.
The centre is scheduled for completion in late 2024, marking a significant milestone in healthcare technology advancement and ensuring that the site has a future beyond 2030.
S+B UK is proud to be part of the new R&D facility project, which will also see partnerships solidified with Wales’ world-class higher education institutions, namely Bangor University, Swansea University, and Cardiff University.
