Apprentice Design Engineer

Description:

Working within a team of 6 engineers duties will include:
• Training will be provided on on company IMOS Software which is specific to the industry and is CAD based.
• Inputting data onto an ERP management system
• Maintaining data information
• Drawing room lay-outs using auto CAD
• Undertaking training on the shop floor to improve product knowledge
• Supporting internal and external sales staff
• Site visits as required
• Supporting the purchasing team which will include, chasing suppliers and updating the system

Requirements
• Be enthusiastic

• A good listener

Educational Requirements:
Must have English and Maths GCSE

Daily Hours and Breaks: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:20pm Friday 8am - 4:10pm 39 hours per week 30 mins paid lunch
Starting Salary: Under 18 £6.40 18-20 £8.60 21 and over £11.44

Additional Info:
• 25 days holiday (3 reserved for Christmas) plus Bank Holidays
• Overtime available
• Free on-site parking
• On a bus route between Manchester and Bolton

Position Available

Design Engineer

This opportunity is for a Design Engineer with an emphasis on project processing.

The engineer would take the concept brief and realise it through to manufacture. This will involve using all aspects of the company's existing workflows to provide our supply chain with the relevant information for procurement.

The candidate should be an excellent communicator and feel comfortable communicating with internal departments, external suppliers, architects and main contractors.
The candidate must also be well disciplined to work within the company’s procedures and maintain our very high standards.

Must have skills:
• Autodesk Revit/Inventor/Solidworks or equivalent experience working in a 3D environment
• MS office applications

Preferred additional skills:
• IMOS
• 2D AutoCAD
• Fume cupboard experience
• iLogic
• Basic electric/electronics knowledge
• Magicut
• MS Navision

Salary dependent on experience – immediate start

Position Available

Area Sales Manager – Commercial

Responsible for overseeing sales activities within a designated geographic area and driving revenue growth. Prioritise projects in terms of value and program. Understand customer requirements and work with internal sales to understand the quotation specification and price. Drive closure of projects from the beginning until placement of order.

Primary Responsibilities:
•Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned area.
•Identify and establish relationships with potential clients, including furniture & fume cupboard specifiers, interior designers, architects, specialist consultants and contractors.
•Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations to showcase the features, benefits, and quality of our furniture & fume cupboard lines.
•Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
•Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotional strategies and campaigns to increase brand visibility and sales.
•Actively engage in company social media platforms such as LinkedIN and encourage contacts to follow the company page.
•Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies and capitalize on opportunities.
•Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and forecasts to the management team.
•Attend monthly sales meetings at head office to review the month and upcoming forecast.

Qualifications/Training:
• University degree/Transferable experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable:
•Basic Health and Safety training.
•Basic Environmental training.
•Experience in sales, preferably within the furniture industry or related field.

Experience:
• Whilst some sales experience is considered beneficial, it is not a prerequisite of the role. The laboratory furniture and fume cupboard industry is a unique and specific market, and therefore a training and development programme would be put in place to support the successful applicant.

Qualities and Attitude:
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the designated area.
• Willingness to attend industry events, potential involving evenings and overnight stays.
• Willingness to travel internationally on occasions.

Salary/Benefits
• Salary: TBD – dependant on education/experience level etc…
• Commission structure: 1% of secured project value. Payable per month (one month after project(s) order/instruction is received)
• Company car: Sales and PM teams are provided with an electric vehicle.

• Car charging/fuel expenses, company phone, company laptop, home internet(remote working), work related expenses such as hotels, flights, trains, evening subsistence for overnight/extended work-related travel.
