The Armenian Ministry of Health National Centre for Disease Control and Prevention in collaboration with The Ministry of Agriculture State Service for Food Safety have opened new central facilities in Yerevan.
The facility features a bespoke derivation of S+B’s new mobile laboratory workstation range with Trespa Toplab Plus work surfaces.
The facility was created thanks to funding from the US Department of Defence`s Defence Threat Reduction Agency. The construction comes as part of the Agency`s Cooperative Biological Engagement programme, designed to track and secure dangerous pathogens in Armenia and around the globe. The facility was opened in July by The Minister of Health, Dr Armen Muradyan, The Minister of Agriculture, Mr Sergo Karapetyan and the US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills Junior. Ambassador Mills said “we know that in today`s globalised and interconnected world, diseases have no boundaries. This is why we must all work together to prevent the proliferation of bio weapons”
