S+B UK are thrilled to announce our involvement in the new ecological campus of International School Rheintal (ISR) in Switzerland. This marks our second project in Switzerland, scheduled for installation this summer. Our team will manufacture and install bespoke science labs furniture and fume cupboards, designed specifically for this project, which will be an integral part of the school’s new three-story building. The project has been designed by Zurich architects Kämpfen Zinke + Partner AG and will feature stunning interiors by Spaceoasis Ltd and designer James Clarke at Learniture.
ISR’s new campus is designed as a learning environment for approximately 200 students, featuring a double sports hall and learning clusters from kindergarten to high school with flexible use and varied room sizes. The new building sets an example for sustainability in its construction and operation, showcasing environmentally friendly wooden construction, integrated PV systems, intensive green roof, outdoor space design, and natural ventilation. This aligns perfectly with S+B UK’s focus on sustainability and our commitment to using ecological materials in our projects.
With a 1000m2 roof garden and terrace, indigenous planting in outside areas to promote biodiversity, and a compound ventilation system, ISR’s new campus will naturally inspire students to consider and become enthusiastic about sustainability. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in the Rheintal region, ISR offers its students a truly global education in English, and the new campus will further enhance their commitment to sustainability and provide a conducive learning environment.
