The Presentation Ceremony of the Queens’ Award for Enterprise: International Trade was a very proud and highly anticipated event for the S+B UK team, following three exciting years of working on some very remarkable projects worldwide.
The Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester, Mrs Diane Hawkins, was in attendance to mark the occasion and present the award. Following a tour of the S+B office, showrooms and manufacturing plant, she delivered a heart-warming speech, filled with praise and admiration for the S+B team and their international success.

Paul Bentham, the Managing Director of S+B, expressed his immense pride in the achievements of the company over the past years and thanked the entire team for their diligent work and commitment.
An excerpt of his acceptance speech can be seen below:
“ The Queens Award as we know already is a Fantastic accolade to receive.
For an SME from Salford to be known throughout the world for its quality products and innovative designs is truly amazing. In fact, it’s so amazing I would just like to put into context what S+B UK LTD have actually achieved when it comes to International trade.
In the midst of Navigating our way through Brexit and Covid between 2020 and 2022 we have supplied and installed around £9M pounds worth of our products overseas. Across 5 Continents we have worked with over 20% of the Worlds Sovereign States.
From Hong Kong in the East to Hawaii in the West our products circumnavigate the globe.
We have completed projects in the Americas from as far north as the US/Canadian border to Panama in central America and that of Brazil in the south.
We have been involved with projects in Africa. From the Mediterranean sea in the north (Algeria and Tunisia) to Sub Saharan countries such as Ghana, Liberia, Gambia and Uganda down to Mozambique in the south.
In Europe we have seen 10 countries avail themselves of our services. Such as Spain, Switzerland, France, Finland and Romania.
And finally, in Asia where 18 countries benefit from our offerings. From Armenia and Georgia in the West to Dubai, Qatar and Saudi Arabia in the middle east to that of Vietnam, China and Thailand in the Far East.
These are all outstanding undertakings to say the least.
Therefore please believe me when I say, all of us here at S+B UK should be immensely proud of what we have accomplished over these past years and long may our success continue into the future”.

After the Presentation Ceremony the S+B team continued their celebrations with a day out to a local restaurant.
They had enjoyed themselves, had a great time and shared hearty laughs. Was a great way to commemorate their hard work and success as a team.
